INTEC K221-HT | For safe shut-off of catalysts to ensure a reliable tight seal in the port and maintenance-free operation even in applications with high operating cycles
Everything from a single source - Successful project business in equipping a catalytic world-scale hydrogenation plant (part 4).
Conditions
For the safe shut-off of regenerated catalysts consisting of a particle-containing water-nickel-chromium mixture and process conditions of 38 bar and temperatures more than 200°C, the ball valves type INTEC K221 with a high-temperature (HT) seal are used.
Design
This type is a floating and single side spring loaded metal-seated ball valve. The ball and ball seats are made of super duplex material (1.4980) and coated with a nickel-based hard alloy (SC4) by thermal spraying with subsequent melting to produce a non-porous hard material. This results in the highest resistance of the ball-seat system during thermal cycling. This ensures a reliable tight seal in the port and ensures maintenance-free operation even in applications with high operating cycles.
