Duo Sampling Device Ball Valve
Reconditioning of operationally proven ball valve . Due to the critical media, the plant is one of the top 10 hazardous plants requiring monitoring.
The successful repair of an operationally proven Duo Sampling Ball Valve contributes to optimized CAPEX and OPEX in the Care Chemicals division of a surfactant plant.
In the process of chemical synthesis, ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and hydrogen sulfide are used to produce industrial detergents and nonionic surfactants, respectively. Due to the critical media, the plant is one of the top 10 hazardous plants requiring monitoring. As a result, the Duo Sampling Ball Valve is a special PLT-protective device for stringent monitoring and control of the processes.
The Duo Sampling Ball Valve has two independently switchable ball valves. For sampling, the first ball valve with a T-bore and a defined sampling volume is actuated by means of a spring closing unit. After actuation, the sample is separated from the medium-carrying line by the safety shut-off. Then the second ball valve with a so-called blind hole in the ball is filled into the sample chamber by a 180° rotation. From here, the sample is filled into the sample bottle via an anti-septum system with air circulation. The sample bottle is securely fixed by means of a spring-loaded holder and grid unit. The grid unit is an essential safety feature and guarantees trouble- and error-free sampling.
